About this artwork
I created this piece, The Infidelity, using acrylic colors as a foundation and oil paint on top to complete the creation. This painting is one of my creations, which I never wanted to let go from my private collection until now I made the decision to place it on this platform, seeking a lovely home for the painting. As its name reveals, this piece is about a moment of intimacy under the roof of secrecy and betrayal, which is highly complicated. …
In fact, the tension between the two individuals involved in this secretive love affair, fed up the third individual (the wife) to a point where she became suspicious of this invisible being (her husband´s lover) who was hiding under her bed. This is a condition that displays the emotional complexity of infidelity. This is one of the reasons, I selected the colors to create a sense of secrecy and a hidden desire. Upon discovering the betrayal, the husband tries to ask for forgiveness while his lover keeps her avatar eyes widely opened.
