About this artwork
In my painting I have created an abstract and symbolic composition in which the strong emotions of expectation and reflection are expressed. The use of acrylic, oil and gouache creates a vibrant texture that draws the viewer into a state of pause and contemplation. Each brush stroke is thoughtful, adding energy and dynamism to an otherwise silent moment. This work is full of emotion and gives any room a deep, thoughtful atmosphere.

Mona Pfürtner is a multidisciplinary artist based in Germany whose works have been exibited natioanlly and in Switzerland. She cites art as being her deepest form of expression. In Pfürtner's abstract works, time and feeling play a decisive role, where the piece is created "over and over again" in many layers until is is "right". Most recently, she has addressed the pandemic in her compositions, fusing surrealism with naturalism.
