About this artwork

Powerful layered and textured painting in shades of blues and slight gold leaf gilding!
She see treasures in every wave , ripple and reflection of the Mediterranean Sea as she looks out the window every day. The shimmers resemble precious jewels at every angle. You might even see a few sailboats or perhaps even a shipwreck as you lose yourself in the painting.
When it is hung vertically it might resemble a fissure in rocks revealing precious… amethyst and crystals.
Of course being an abstract painting , you may see an entirely different story !

Monique J Dufour is a Canadian self-taught artist based in Spain, who has exhibited her work throughout the US, Canada, and Europe. Whilst on a trip to France in 2013, she picked up a paintbrush and never looked back, now busying herself daily with her luminous, intriguing abstract compositions. Dufour is guided by divine energy and the thrill of creativity, and seeks primarily to move others through her artistic practice.
