This digital photograph captures the timeless beauty and mysterious flair of Venice. "La Serenissima" has inspired and enchanted generations of artists of all stripes, including photographer Marlies Getz.
The use of black and white and sepia tones creates a nostalgic atmosphere that highlights the play of light on the water and the majestic architecture. The Sandwich Furore technique, originally derived from analog photography, was also used here.… The image has an atmospheric feel with a touch of nostalgia projected into the space.
The series was published as a calendar and is now sold out. Due to strong demand, the main image of the calendar is now being printed in a limited edition of 1/10 worldwide on Fine Art Hahnemühle Photo Rag 308, signed, dated, and numbered by the artist on the front. The work also comes with a wax seal and certificate.
