About this artwork
A little girl with dark skin and light hair looks at the viewer with a gentle and silent intensity. Her gaze, both direct and deeply inward, invites an intimate, timeless encounter.
Her features are imbued with calm, almost meditative, as if she carried within her an ancient wisdom.
Cuddled against her chest, a small tarsier with wide-open eyes seems to be an extension of her inner world. Fragile and attentive, it embodies innocence, vigilance,… and the subtle link between humans and the living world.
The warm, luminous, golden bronze background acts as a symbolic setting. It suggests a sacred, universal dimension, where the female figure becomes a guardian, a protective, almost mythical presence. The soft hues and deliberately delicate contours reinforce this impression of serenity and emotion.
This work is part of my "Beautiful Souls" series.
"I define myself as a painter of the soul and of color."
Originally from France, Muriel Ho is an artist whose emotional power defines her artistic and personal identity. The strength of his work lies in capturing the emotion and soul of his characters, directly connected to life. His work evokes a sense of intimacy and sometimes confrontation, allowing the viewer to connect with the subject. Her recent series "Les belles âmes" and "Paradis perdus" speak of our sacred connection to life. She considers her studio a sanctuary, immersing herself in painting every day as one enters into meditation.
Present on the national and international scene, Muriel Ho has exhibited in Germany, Denmark and Tokyo. His work has been recognized with numerous awards, including two medals from the Academy of Arts, Sciences and Letters of Paris.
Muriel Ho is a recognized artist listed on Drouot.
