About this artwork
In The Starry Bird, I celebrate the encounter between reality and wonder. Perched on its branch, the bird stands proudly, adorned with vibrant plumage where deep blue converses with a luminous, almost solar yellow. Its crest, studded with white spots, evokes a night sky, transforming the animal into a symbolic creature, a messenger of poetry and freedom.
The deliberately understated, textured blue-green background provides a sense of openness that… highlights the bird's silhouette and the intensity of its gaze. The bird seems suspended in a moment of calm, as if frozen between wakefulness and dream. The delicate details of its plumage contrast with bolder areas of color, creating a subtle balance between gentleness and character.
Through this work, I explore once again the intimate link between nature and the soul, a recurring theme in my work. The starry bird invites contemplation, inner escape, and a sensitive reconnection with the living world.
