About this artwork
Orange Nasturtiums is an older painting from 2010. It used to be part of the Large Florals collection. All are gone except for this one. These nasturtiums were growing up the side of the outside wall at the Santa Cruz Art League building in Santa Cruz, California. I was dropping off some artwork for a show when I decided to capture them in a photo. I used it as a reference photo for this painting. I've since lost the reference photo.
At the time… I painted Orange Nasturtiums, I didn't realize that I was more of an abstract artist. This painting is abstract in nature as compared to other florals. I find it still beautiful today.
I used only the finest professional grade paints and watercolor paint. You can see how well they held up after all these years. This painting is as beautiful now as was then.
