About this artwork
I've woven a rich tapestry of time with my artwork, blending the serene elegance of oriental art with the textured depth of vintage aesthetics. Utilizing acrylics and collage artistry, I've created a piece that exudes a harmonious balance, enveloping viewers in a sense of peaceful contemplation. This painting is a bridge between past and present, inviting warmth and cultural richness into any space. It's a conversation starter, a reflection of the… soul's longing for beauty and connection.
Started with textures an vivid colors to accommodate this ancient looking script on thin paper, so essentially a collage. Heavily varnished, Old meets new.
this one is a 'copy' so to speak of the previous one.-'lines crossing #1'...done some years later to accompany the first 'lines crossing'. I felt like it needed a mate. so, I kind of 'faked' the old scroll from before. The Chinese characters I got from a book, all signs for animals. The stamps I fashioned myself.
« Always balancing light and dark to create something unique and beautiful. »
