About this artwork
In my oil painting, I have captured my favorite flowers – peonies – in a lush, colorful composition. Delicate shades of pink, white, and violet combine with various greens and warm earth tones to create a vibrant sea of blossoms.
I applied the paint very thickly and with bold brushstrokes, so that the blossoms almost appear tangible. My aim was less about an exact representation and more about my feelings and the beauty of the peonies. Every brushstroke… reflects a great deal of heart, passion, and love for these extraordinary flowers.
