About this artwork
In “Eternal Circles” I explore the rhythm of repetition, a continuous flow of energy moving through the canvas.
I built the surface with layered circular gestures, creating a rich, textured field that feels both dynamic and meditative. Bright, positive colors , gold, orange, and warm tones , radiate light and warmth, giving the work a sense of uplift and vitality.
Each circle carries its own energy, yet they are all connected, forming an endless… cycle. For me, this piece reflects life in motion, evolving, repeating, and always moving forward.
« My paintings are reflections of my inner self, my feelings, and my emotions, as well as my love for colors, structure, movements, and harmony. »
Nena Lang is an award-winning contemporary abstract artist based in Vienna, Austria. Born in Bosnia and Herzegovina, she works in a refined mixed-media abstract expressionist style, creating layered compositions that explore movement, memory and transformation. Her paintings are defined by rich textures, atmospheric color fields, and a balance between intuitive gesture and structural clarity.
With a background in theatre and cultural history, Lang approaches abstraction as both an emotional and architectural space. Before fully dedicating herself to painting, she worked in academic and cultural research, a foundation that continues to inform the symbolic depth of her work. She works with acrylics, pigments, mixed media and gold leaf, using palette knives and rulers to build tactile, layered surfaces. Circular forms and flowing structures recur throughout her work, evoking inner landscapes and quiet geometries.
