About this artwork
Countdown is one of a series of works created in 2017 under the same title. The focus lies on the occupation of the rational, searching for a pathway within the image, a kind of guide by which things might be arranged, but only as we believe they should be.
In reality, the sequence often surprises us, and the path of our gaze takes its own direction. At the same time, through a third way out of meaningless repetition and the imposed order of numbers,… we arrive at a moment of release, shifting from a rational to an irrational perspective.
