About this artwork
This digital painting has a unique story. One June evening, I found myself stuck in an elevator. It was a heatwave, and the building was nearly empty. I had no cell service, but the only way to pass the time was to take photos with the mirror, where I was the only companion. This moment allowed me to release the anxiety of being stuck all summer in this one-square-meter space while remaining creative. I imagined how to capture this profound moment…
of solitude, where ultimately I wasn't alone, but rather with myself. I immediately found the drape of my shirt interesting because the heat had transformed it into hundreds of tiny folds. The prints are made on 50x70cm paper, 210gsm, Yvoir paper.
