Two kinds of devotion share one hill.
On the left: a carousel canopy, studded like a rosary, made for returning: round and round, the comfort of repetition.
On the right: Sacré-Cœur, a soft ascent held in blur, the ache of reaching for what won’t hold still.
The eye moves between ornament and hush, glitter and vow.
It notices they’re both circles - one turning on cue, one drawn toward heaven.
Childhood ritual meets adult belief; spectacle shares… a frame with silence.
The blank Paris sky becomes a pause between them, the breath before choosing.
This fine photograph measures days: the ones when motion is enough, and the ones when the heart insists on height.
Neither side wins.
The work simply offers a compass - spin or climb - then asks the tender question: which rhythm is yours, today?
