About this artwork
Painting in which I captured the essence and courage of the Alpine troops, enhancing their determination through a vibrant use of acrylic and ink. The strong shades and expressive forms convey the dynamism and tenacity of these soldiers who, in the foreground, express serenity and passion for a moment of celebration, in which the founding references such as the flag and the weapon in its defense also appear. In the background is portrayed another… Alpine soldier in a relaxed attitude who "washes down" the hardships he has endured with wine, almost leaning on his friend and fellow mule. Strength and effort are again underlined by the figure of the Alpine soldier climbing the rock, with the waving of the flag that ideally pushes him, and the eagle that stands out as a symbol of pride. Every brushstroke reflects my passion and admiration for their indomitable spirit. It operates not only as a tribute to their history, but also a symbol of resistance and resilience that will inspire any environment.
« 'Beauty will save the world' by Dostoevsky is a symbolic phrase for me because of the therapeutic, magical, and mysterious content inherent in the logic of art. »
