Painting in figurative expressionist style made as a tribute to the centenary of the Montenero Funicular, a town located on a hill overlooking the sea and the port of Livorno, considered among the most famous places in Tuscany, particularly due to its famous Sanctuary (dating back to 1345 ) dedicated to a well-known sacred subject. It is the Madonna delle Grazie, icon of which the artist has created the imaginary portraits of the Holy Virgin and… Child which, together with the portraits of the characters of the Labronian vernacular, Beppe Orlandi and Carlo Carpitelli, dominate the foreground of the painting that is unfolding in the second floor and in the background with a funicular and the well-known Sanctuary.
