About this artwork
Serengeti National Park, located in northern Tanzania, covers over 14,763 km². Established in 1940, it is world-renowned for the world's largest annual animal migration: over 1.5 million blue wildebeest, 250,000 zebras, and countless Thomson's gazelles and elands. The park is also home to Africa's largest lion population. However, this exceptional ecosystem is now threatened by deforestation, population growth, and intensive livestock farming.
… I was fortunate enough to have an intimate encounter with a majestic lion who came to drink from a stream. We gazed at each other for nearly fifteen minutes, in silence, as if communicating telepathically. A magical experience, suspended in time, that I will never forget.

Pascal Clément, a passionate photographer and visual artist, offers unique works in a limited edition of 4 copies. His artistic approach is based on the woven photography technique, an approach where each photograph is carefully cut into thin strips and then woven by hand to give birth to a unique composition. These images intertwine, creating an effect of texture, depth and movement that transcends classical photography, offering a nuanced expression of identities and perceptions. Pascal enriches his art through many years of learning, both self-taught and academic. Through the WOVEN technique, he fuses precision and emotional intensity, paying particular attention to humans, nature and the spontaneity of fleeting moments. His works demonstrate a deep empathy and genuine admiration for the beauty of humanity, revealing the richness and complexity of suspended moments.
