About this artwork
In my work, I poured my deepest emotions, mixing acrylic and sand to emphasize the expressive power of the subject. Figurative touch and expressionism merge, creating a visual narrative that invites reflection. The presence of objects adds layers of meaning. The canvas is an invitation to explore the complex texture of the human soul, a dialogue between the inner strength and the vulnerability that lives within us.

Pasquale Rapicano, born in Castellammare di Stabia, skilfully combines materials such as sand, iron, paper and jute with acrylic painting in his multi-material works. He uses rust as a distinctive element, a metaphor for damage to the world, alternating human and animal figures, in an incessant building and demolishing worlds. His works, full of exalted details, convey a whirlwind of emotions, from visceral torment over contemporary society to the suggestion of moments captured through facial expressions.
