About this artwork
I created this work using acrylic, sand and objects to explore human beauty intertwined with wild and rudimentary nature. In painting this face, I tried to capture a look that reflects a deep soul and untold stories. The raw texture conveys strength and resilience, while the earthy tones emit warmth. This painting will add a touch of charming and emotional character to your home.

Pasquale Rapicano, born in Castellammare di Stabia, skilfully combines materials such as sand, iron, paper and jute with acrylic painting in his multi-material works. He uses rust as a distinctive element, a metaphor for damage to the world, alternating human and animal figures, in an incessant building and demolishing worlds. His works, full of exalted details, convey a whirlwind of emotions, from visceral torment over contemporary society to the suggestion of moments captured through facial expressions.
