About this artwork
"Redroad" is born from a living medium, corrugated cardboard, which is not simply a base but an integral part of the story. Its ribs, its imperfections, become the landscape. The surface breathes, vibrates, retains, and restores color.
Red dominates the scene like a vibrant path, an emotional trajectory that runs through the composition with strength and determination. It's not a decorative red: it's tension, it's impulse, it's direction. Black… intervenes to contain, to create depth and pause; white opens up spaces, introducing light and rhythm.
The gold, carefully dosed, doesn't overwhelm but rather makes a statement. It's a touch of value, a precious accent that interrupts the raw material and ennobles it without distorting it.
The material technique makes the work almost sculptural: it isn't simply observed, but demands to be perceived in its physicality. "Redroad" is a journey between opposites: poverty and preciousness, instinct and control.
