A powerful tool is the Method of Loci, invented by Simonides of Ceos and used by Cicero. It connects memories to imagined places using imagination.
In art, memory exists as unrealized sketches, unfinished paintings, and abandoned color schemes that remain only in the artist’s mind. These become multilayered… abstract creations expressed in abstract painting.
According to Roman Ingarden, an abstract image shows the absence of literary themes and objects. Memory itself is abstract and exists only in the mind.
Memory is the ultimate zero waste: nothing is lost — even unfinished ideas continue to live and create new meaning.
