About this artwork
This drawing channels raw, expressive energy through the use of pastel and charcoal, capturing emotion in semi-abstract, symbolic forms. I embraced movement and tension, inviting viewers to feel the ebb and flow of inner struggles and growth. It will enliven any space with dynamic intensity and thoughtful introspection, sparking curiosity and personal reflection.
In addition to the pastel and charcoal, I stitched hammered aluminum rings into place… throughout, to open up the circle of community, and added circular wrappers from lunches shared by the learning community I was privileged to be part of in the Bahamas.
