About this artwork
I've always felt suspended between two worlds... one is the one I come from, that of my childhood, and the other is the current one, two different planes of existence with me in the middle, trying to bridge the gap.
Similarly, two other worlds or planes that must coexist are represented by the painting of the past and the present; this only on the personal level, to which are added an infinity of other levels, spheres of existence, and possible… and impossible thoughts.
This theme has become very present in my works lately, and this is also the case with "Crossing"—a fusion of cultural and physical diversity. Where the frames and canvases represent the body of the painting, the two bodies are the ideas and concepts that lead to innovation when there is a healthy exchange.
