About this artwork
In this work, I have fused a diversity of materials, from acrylics to found objects, giving life to an urban landscape that combines geometry with impressionism and a vintage touch. Each fragment and each color reflects the history and personality of a warm and unique community. My goal is to evoke feelings of nostalgia and connection, celebrating the chaotic and colorful beauty of urban life. This piece carries with it a vibrant spirit that will… fill any home with energy and inspiration.
Paula Garnett, painter, sculptor and conceptual artist, developed in an artistic environment between Brazil and Portugal. Her style is random, mixing techniques and media such as paintings, assemblages and paper mache, focusing on spontaneous creation. With the artistic reuse of elements considered disposable, her works imbue chromatic richness and varied materiality, provoking reflections on revaluation and sustainability. In each piece, Paula communicates a colorful but organized chaos, always leaving a feeling of incompleteness, suggestive of new beginnings.
