What if what we call reality is nothing more than a controlled hallucination generated by the brain from predictions and sensory stimuli?, according to neuroscientist Anil Seth.
We perceive the world through the lens of our beliefs, memories, and intuitions—past, present, and future. A jumble of images, where it's no longer clear whether they are memories or future creations. Time becomes strange and is no longer perceived as linear. If Renaissance… perspective is an abstraction, a geometry for representing reality, a way of standardizing how we see the world around us, what happens to subjectivity in the perceptions of multiple individuals with diverse beliefs, education, and contexts? Near-far, up-down, left-right—I'm interested in exploring, through painting, the subjectivity in images and in the perception of the reality that surrounds us.
