About this artwork
This painting is inspired by some exotic fashion. The hat the girl is wearing is more an art object than a hat you can wear comfortably. The idea of making this painted came up after seeing a series of real exotic hat wear, and the artist designed his own interpretation.
The 1st and second additional photos show some details of the artwork.
The last photo shows the part with the signature of the artist: 'PK', plus a small simplified horse. 'PK'… are the initials of the artist, Peter Koelman. But 'PK' also means 'paardenkracht', Dutch for horsepower. That is the reason for the small horse added to the 'PK'.
