About this artwork
The Memory Train is a psychological portrait study exploring the theme of accepting and processing trauma in order to mentally evolve and move forward.
The merging of two heads in a torturous, layered pose brings deep internal pain visually to the surface. The central portrait—tense, frozen, and suspended—evokes the absolute peak of psychological torment right before a personal breakthrough occurs, and a serene wiser and accepting face emerges within… the composition, evoking the evolution of calmness and wisdom.
Dramatic, violent reds convey the inner turmoil of this process, while subtle, glowing hints of yellow intentionally imply a sense of hope, light, and resolution at the journey's end.
« I express the truest version of myself as I was, am, and will be in my work. »
