About this artwork
This painting was created at the beginning of winter. The first snow had yet to arrive, and I longed for a little more coziness and winter atmosphere. My violin and an old samovar decoratively adorned the hallway of my apartment, and after contemplating these two objects for a while, the design quietly crept into my mind. The image took shape in my mind's eye, and this initial idea soon became a real painting.
