About this artwork
My first painting of 2026 came with its own lesson about beginnings. It became a metaphor for the year ahead - stepping into new territory, trusting my own vision, meeting challenges with courage rather than certainty. As I worked through the difficulties of capturing those new colours, I realized that's exactly what a new year asks of us: to face new horizons with faith, to embrace the creative challenge of becoming who we're meant to be.
