The black background and fine lining evoke the minimalist and contemporary graphic associations - one would be tempted to say abstracted, if not for the fact that these trees feel not only non-abstract,… but quite the contrary even more real and present - as if the artist rendered the very esence of the forest.
The drawing is done with pastel and charcoal on a fine black tinted paper (250g/m2), secured with multiple layers of archival fixative for UV and smudgung protection.

Przemek Kret is an experienced artist from Poland whose works have been featured in solo and group exhibitions internationally. Leading a nomadic life full of travel, Kret developed his artistic practice around a surrealist exploration of the hidden depths of his own psyche. Mostly painting in oil or resin, he creates cosmic abstract works that are full of unique color palettes and textures that glisten.
