About this artwork
This piece was finalized digitally in 2011 based on the editing of an ink drawing produced in 1991. The chromatic and textural environment was created in the digital domain. There is a pointilist aspect that emerged during the digital scanning and chromatic treatment of the ink drawing that fascinated me from the outset. The undulating movements surrounding the dark cavern in the lower central area suggest tumult and some form of menace.

Scott MacLeay's career is richly varied.
