"Vultus VI" is an intriguing piece in an experimental series that explores the deconstruction of traditional painting. The creative process begins with a classic painting or drawing on canvas, which is then photographed. The photograph is printed on paper and transferred with gesso to a final canvas, transforming the original painting and photograph into a unique transfer. A final touch of acrylic paint is the only real paint on the canvas.
This… series aims to illustrate the constant evolution and mutability of our lives. Each portrait reflects a life, a story and the continuing journey of change and growth. The fragmented appearance of the portraits symbolizes our ever-changing identities.
"Vultus VI" captures these themes eloquently, presenting a portrait that is both fragmented and complete, emphasizing the dynamic and evolving nature of our existence.
