About this artwork
"Art Enjoyment" from my series: Second Life. I painted over an old, machine-stitched picture depicting a still life in a mountain idyll and added a witness to today's consumerism! I let industrial kitsch from the 1980s meet an industrial beverage, both witnesses to the times! "Mass art" meets mass beverage. Trust-distrust, freedom-order, reason-emotion, closeness-isolation and much more, all at the same time.
This perspective stems from 30 years of experience as an entrepreneur and creative mind in my trade fair construction company, where responsibility, economics, structure and creative design and thinking were inextricably linked.
In my works I translated these tensions into images - decisively and openly to resonance.
I paint lived ambivalences.
