About this artwork
As a young competitive swimmer, I learned that every stroke requires strength because it fights against the wave—but that's precisely where the energy that carries you and propels you forward comes from. Later, in my business, I had the same experience. Customers who doubted, markets that fluctuated, situations that called everything into question. As a swimmer, I had learned not to break under such resistance, but to grow with it, to let it carry… me forward. That's exactly what I wanted to translate into a universal and timeless visual world.
It's for you if you want to experience how resistance becomes strength and if you're looking for an anchor to remind you of your own power. "Breakwater - Where Resistance Becomes Strength" from the series: Speechless - What Words Cannot Convey.
My artwork can be hung horizontally or vertically, depending on your spatial requirements. Acrylic and oil on canvas. 120 cm x 160 cm.
My work arises from a fascination with contradictory states that exist simultaneously:
Trust-distrust, freedom-order, reason-emotion, closeness-isolation, and much more.
This perspective stems from 30 years of experience as an entrepreneur and creative mind in my trade fair construction company, where responsibility, economics, structure and creative design and thinking were inextricably linked.
In my works, I translate these tensions into images—decisively and openly to resonance. I capture the ineffable in images.
