About this artwork
As a young competitive swimmer, I learned that every stroke requires strength because it fights against the wave—but that's precisely where the energy that carries you and propels you forward comes from. Later, in my business, I had the same experience. Customers who doubted, markets that fluctuated, situations that called everything into question. As a swimmer, I had learned not to break under such resistance, but to grow with it, to let it carry…

My work arises from a fascination with contradictory states that exist simultaneously:

This perspective stems from 30 years of experience as an entrepreneur and creative mind in my trade fair construction company, where responsibility, economics, structure and creative design and thinking were inextricably linked.
