About this artwork
On the left of the image, you see a piano keyboard, symbolizing order and structure. On the right, and at ground level, is a vibrant, lively, urban scene—symbolizing creativity. At the end, in the center, you sense a sunrise—symbolizing a solution.
My picture "Scope for Action" shows how I was able to solve a difficult, almost unsolvable task in the company only through the interplay of creativity and a structured approach.
A client wanted a large,… completed exhibition stand completely rotated two days before the trade fair began. He no longer liked the orientation because neighboring competitors had changed their positions at short notice.
From an organizational standpoint, it initially seemed impossible. The availability of staff, materials, and regulations all spoke against it. Only through courageous and focused collaboration, combining creative ideas with a rigorously structured organization, were we able to make it happen.
A solution was found. In the end, everyone was very satisfied.
My work arises from a fascination with ambivalence. Trust-distrust, freedom-order, reason-emotion, closeness-isolation and much more, all at the same time. This perspective stems from 30 years of experience as an entrepreneur and creative mind in my trade fair construction company, where responsibility, economics, structure and creative design and thinking were inextricably linked. In my works I translated these tensions into images - decisively and openly to resonance. I paint lived ambivalences.
