About this artwork
Patron 99q is inspired by the protection of the people you love, like a rooster guards his ladies in a hen house. This particular rooster carries a Walther P99q underneath his wings to provide an excellent protection. Title-freak as I am I have chosen the title Patron 99q as a reference to the gun and the guardian. The painting also has the eye of Ra, which stands for protection.
The style of painting is a blend of neo-expressionism, abstract expressionism… and popart. It is wild and still easy on the eyes.
All in all a really cool, bright colored painting painted with thick layers of acrylic, spray paint, graffiti ink and paint pen on canvas.
