About this artwork
In The Cup of Redemption – Defeating the Serpent, I wanted to express the power of spiritual victory. Christ's authority is shown calmly holding the chalice and offering bread—symbols of covenant, sacrifice, and renewal. Beneath Him, the serpent emerges from the dark water, representing temptation that rises from within us.
For me, true strength is resolute, and can be unshakable, serene, and filled with purpose. The contrast between the calm figure… above and the coiled presence below reflects the inner battleground we all recognise—faith against doubt, redemption versus surrender.
