About this artwork
The object is made of robinia wood, the hardest wood in Switzerland. I worked it with instruments and tools and partially painted and flamed it. The work consists of 3 parts, trunk, moon and base. The base is made of welded metal plates and painted with synthetic resin. 65 x 50 cm. The object is wind and weatherproof and fits wonderfully into a garden or works as a solitary piece. his work with great precision, because each type of wood has a different structure, a different texture that he responds to, which he changes by flaming or varnishing, which he plays with. They are often arranged in such a way that they appear to float, even though he often uses heavy materials such as scrap metal, steel or dense wood. He attaches great importance to his works being simple and reduced, but they do not appear strictly purist-minimalist. His works often have something humorous and playful about them.
