About this artwork
In this work, I captured the power and intensity of red to create emotional tension. I glued poplar wood to a multi-layered panel, worked it with tools, and painted it with acrylics. I work like a researcher. I used to make woodcuts. The depth and materiality of the printing blocks fascinated me. The result, a print on paper, wasn't expressive enough for me. So I began creating unique pieces from blocks of wood. This shift brought the material itself…
into focus and invites the viewer to engage with its sensuality. My works are intended to convey strength and, through their joyful radiance, energy to the viewer.
