About this artwork
In my work, the energy of color and form plays a central role. This expressionistic mixed-media artwork was created using intense color nuances and dynamic brushstrokes. The textured patterns and lines capture the feeling of movement and dynamism. In my work, I value aesthetics and materiality. I wanted to create a work of art that emotionally touches viewers and simultaneously unfolds a powerful visual impact in any space. A view that transports… me to that sea, where heightened forms flow in a surging current.
René Düsel, a painter and sculptor, primarily uses materials such as wooden panels, oak, beech and poplar wood and manipulates metal. He combines hand and machine processing techniques, creates relief structures and leaves room for numerous interpretations. Düsel's works communicate grace and aesthetics, creating a tension between concentrated intervention and release. His works of art float on an emotional level, filled with diverse forms of expression and surprising interpretations.
