About this artwork
My large-scale object picture consists of three worked spruce wood panels. The marks carved out with a chainsaw convey power and vibrancy. The intensity of the work releases great energy. I love the marks I can make on the wood. I can work with great precision or create openings; it's like drawing with a saw. I work intuitively, allowing myself to be drawn to the format until a field of tension, a dynamic, emerges on the surface. I value the simplicity…
and reduction of my work; it often has a playful, light quality, but is never superficial. The format for transport is two pieces, each 250 x 90 x 25 cm, and requires on-site assembly by skilled craftspeople or a professional installer. Home is a place full of memories; a mixture of objects, pictures, and furniture that hold meaning, that are part of one's personality.
