In this work, which I created with oak wood and pigments, I explore the depth of the color blue. The painting, with its abstract forms and textured surface, brings a calming yet powerful energy to any room. Rene Düsel is a keen observer of nature. He selects the woods for his works with great precision, because each type of wood has a different structure, a different texture, whose surfaces he changes and plays with. a way that they appear to float, even though he often uses heavy wood such as dense wood. He attaches great importance to his works being simple and reduced, but they do not appear strictly purist-minimalist. His works often have something humorous and playful about them.
