About this artwork
This work is the conceptual birth of the Kinetic Orbit series. With 'Studio Zero: Preamble' I combine Mondrian's geometric rigor with my own material exploration and the chromatic depth inspired by Rothko.
The process stems from a physical and chemical investigation: the stucco base welcomes my glazes of black, white, and Crimson Red over an ochre background, allowing subterranean memories to surface like a peeling urban fabric. The black grid,… applied with a brush following the ridges of the material, becomes a quivering sign that attempts to capture this tension.
The disruptive element is my signature rectangle: stretched almost pure, dense, and brilliant, it imposes itself on the structure and deliberately covers the black lines. It is the moment when centrifugal force shatters the geometric cage, escaping the rails to float before the viewer.

I'm a self-taught painter, and what sets me apart is my free and instinctive use of color, which in my work is layered to create dense textures and crowded urban landscapes. I began with more spontaneous and light-hearted works, then evolved towards a more conscious and critical approach. At the same time, I explore abstraction with works inspired by Pollock and Rothko. My Cities are born from abstract foundations. The City as a complex organism that reflects the contradictions of our time. My series explore three great fragilities: the vulnerability of cities to climate change, the wounds inflicted by man through wars and manipulated ideologies, and the inequalities between glittering centers and forgotten peripheries. I paint universal, non-geographic cities as a metaphor for the human condition: places that bear the hopes, scars, and tensions of our time.
