About this artwork
cold.call explores the tension between performance and vulnerability — the moment contact is attempted without invitation, when pressure meets silence. a restrained atmospheric field is interrupted by unstable gestures and suspended translucent layers that feel both deliberate and intrusive.
borrowing its title from the language of sales and corporate persuasion, the work reflects on the emotional cost of constant presentation: visibility, rejection,… and the need to perform connection. what first appears minimal and controlled slowly reveals instability beneath the surface — pressure building quietly within restraint.

antonia is a brighton-based artist working under the name restless sky.
her practice moves between two connected bodies of work: nervous.system and archive.box. nervous.system is made in real time — atmosphere, structure and interruption translating pressure, control and emotional states. archive.box begins later, using packaging, receipts, tape and discarded objects as evidence of lived experience.
across the work, restless sky is interested in what we reveal, what we keep, and the systems we build to contain what cannot always be controlled.
she describes the practice simply: i paint my nervous system and excavate archive.boxes.
