restless sky is a contemporary abstract painter based in brighton, exploring structure, control, and destabilisation.
she works in tech. the titles of her paintings — dead.line, stake.holder, full.transparency — make the subtext explicit. these are paintings about what it costs to stay composed.
living above the sea at hove, she became absorbed by the relentless shift of light across water — the colours of early morning, the weight of clouds, the way a horizon can feel both still and deeply unsettled. these observations no longer read as landscape in her work, but as something more internal: systems under pressure, where structure begins to give way.
working in acrylic and mixed media, surfaces begin in restraint before being unsettled through gesture, abrasion, and material tension. tension is not resolved, only contained.
