About this artwork
Rina used beads, crochet work and acrylic to create this geometric artwork. South African Ndebele culture art, with its geometric patterns and bright colours is the inspiration for this body of work. The patterns feature vivid colours with a defined black outline, as well as added beads and crochet work for depth and texture.
About the artist’s work:
With such a wealth of colour, shape and texture available on the house walls of a local tribe, how… could Rina not be inspired? Her love of all that is Africa, it’s energy, vibrancy and haphazard structure, provide for much of her emotional input to her work. Rina’s multi-dimensional interpretation of her external environment evokes an emotional response and provides a talking point for any space.
