About this artwork
I thought this painting was asking me to recreate something I had lost.
Only years later did I realise it was asking me to begin somewhere new.
After we moved into our smaller apartment, I kept returning to the centre, knowing something still hadn't found its place.
Every painting belongs to a season of our lives.
This one reminds me that not every new beginning needs to resemble the last one. Sometimes it quietly asks us to stop comparing, to… trust the journey, and to let each chapter become what it was always meant to be.
Perhaps every person needs a place for their feet.
If this painting becomes one of those places for you, then perhaps we've found each other.

Every painting begins with curiosity. Mine begins by listening. As it unfolds, it reveals something I hadn't noticed before, and with every layer, I discover something new—not only about the world before me, but about myself.
I'm Rina Ritzi, and this is how my paintings begin.
I don't paint what I see as much as what I experience. Sometimes that experience whispers through light and atmosphere. Sometimes it dances through colour and emotion. Over time, those conversations found their own voices in my work: Where Light Whispers and Where Colour Dances.
Nature has always been where I learned to listen. I've never believed that a painting should reveal everything at once. Like nature, it unfolds—layer by layer—inviting us to keep discovering.
For twenty-five years I worked in a world of numbers and precision. Painting became the place where curiosity, intuition and possibility could finally breathe.
