About this artwork
A simple figure of a raging tiger, became a more stylized version with sinuous baroque curves, as intuition demanded, and I liked the final result. None of my clay sculptures attempts has had any sketch, just an initial idea and then I jump into the unknown for finding several improvisations and struggles with the piece. Sometimes it works, sometimes not.
There's a tiny hole on the tiger paw that I kept, because it also intended to be an incense… holder. And actually, still can be use for it. And two drips of golden paint for the eyes.
Clay sculpture, glow varnished on top and matte varnished underneath
