About this artwork
First of the three drawings (so far, at least. Might have more of these) for my late grandfather (gone to the Other Side almost 20 years ago). A quick idea for his lifetime here:
A figure of a lion (his star sign) ascending to go, after struggling in a harsh difficult existence, specially in his very early years. Certainly it represents triumph. And rude paws for his rough rude manners. Not easy at all to live with, very very difficult... (explosive… rude genealogic traditions and roots... sigh!) however there was really warming care and love within him (underneath many layers of rudeness)
- Pencil on paper (simple thin paper, possibly 75gm² or less)
- The original now contains slight dent marks, basically imperceptible (only seen on very very close up)
