About this artwork
This conceptual oil on canvas painting deconstructs the human figure into a raw, sculptural form. By focusing on a crouched, bent figure against a stark monochromatic void, I aim to create a purely visceral encounter with human existence.
The composition challenges perspective, transforming the muscles and skeleton into an architectural structure of emotion-exploring themes of vulnerability, internalized tension, and the unfiltered truth of the… body. The pale, detailed flesh tones contrasted against the deep black create a haunting sense of isolation and universal weight.
Born in 1976 and trained at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, I work from my studio in Tel Aviv, where I bridge the gap between classical craftsmanship and digital innovation. My practice is a constant dialogue between traditional mediums-oil painting, charcoal, and graphite-and the cutting-edge worlds of digital motion and AI.
Through my signature 24/7 Painting Machine concept, I marry the physical intensity of intricate cross-hatching with relentless digital evolution. My work captures icons suspended between anxiety, desire, and estrangement, confronting viewers with raw, soulful gazes that reflect the fractured human condition in our hyper-technologized era.
