About this artwork
Each of us remembers our favorite toys and playmates from childhood. And as we already know, there is a child inside every adult, so this work is an allusion to the idea of the invisible connection between present existence and past childhood.
In my work, I fuse acrylic and oil paints to create a surreal vision that is both figurative and realistic. A matador, dressed in traditional costume, bravely faces a giant, lifelike tin toy in the shape… of a horse. This image captures the essence of battling with life's everyday challenges by transforming everyday objects into epic confrontations. The colors and shapes bring an energetic dynamic to your home and inspire reflection on the ever-present struggles in our lives.
